FBW:  Learn Her Story
I was tasked with designing a series of table tents featuring 12 quotes from civil and women’s right activist Fannie Barrier Williams.  I needed to also create a cohesive identity system that could translate to posters and other applications.

Table Tents

Since the table tents will primarily be displayed on SUNY Brockport’s campus, I decided to utilize Brockport’s existing color palette. Placing more of an emphasis on the orange helps the project stand out amongst other Brockport promotional materials. These tents needed to be eye-catching and engaging, even for people not interested in history.

      Printing & Assembly
During the course of this project, I collaborated closely with SUNY Brockport’s printing services in order to make these table tents come to life. They are printed on a pre-scored tabloid sized stock, allowing for easy assembly and a high quality product.

Posters
When translating the quotes to posters, my biggest challenge was fitting all of the copy into one composition, rather than working double sided. Most of the posters are 18×24”, with the exception of one larger one featuring all 12 quotes, being 24×36”. Working at a larger size allowed for greater experimentation with layout and spacing. I aimed to combine the design elements of the table tents for the posters for visual cohesion across the project.

Quote Video
My final contribution to the Fannie Barrier Williams Project was an animated video that features all 12 quotes along with the key information included in the other materials. I aimed to create something both professional and visually engaging. The video is designed to run on a loop and can be displayed on screens across campus or at events. It is also available on the project’s website.
